Even when no one is watching, PLAZA Hotelgroup GmbH (hereinafter Plaza) defines itself as a leading German hotel company with a comprehensive sense of social and ethical responsibility. Our concern is for the people who are involved in the creation and distribution of our services worldwide within our service chain. We therefore attach great importance to ensuring that the Plaza brand name is always associated with respect for human rights, fair working conditions and environmentally friendly business practices. Plaza is convinced that all those who contribute to our success through their work have an inalienable right to the protection of human rights and should not suffer physical or mental harm in their work. Plaza expects employers to respect human rights and to treat their employees fairly and with respect.
This Code of Conduct applies to all areas and business premises of PLAZA Hotelgroup GmbH, its employees, suppliers and business partners. As an international company, we are committed to ensuring that this Code of Conduct is observed and applied worldwide.

Compliance with laws and ethical principles

This commitment extends beyond strict compliance with the laws of the applicable legal system. In addition, Plaza and all its suppliers and business partners are committed to the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, always in accordance with national laws and customs.

This comprehensive commitment underscores our commitment to global standards in the areas of human rights, labor conditions and ethical conduct. Plaza and all its suppliers and other business partners are committed to respecting and protecting human rights in accordance with the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Discrimination, forced labor and child labor are unacceptable.

Plaza and its partners respect the fundamental principles and rights at work as set out in the International Labor Organization's Declaration. This includes the elimination of forced and compulsory labor, the abolition of child labor and the elimination of discrimination in the workplace.

Plaza and all its suppliers and other business partners are committed to environmentally friendly business practices. This includes compliance with all relevant environmental laws, the sustainable use of resources and the minimization of environmental impacts.

Fighting corruption

Plaza and all its suppliers and other business partners reject any form of corruption. Bribery, corruption and other unethical practices are prohibited.

Fair competition

Plaza and all its suppliers and business partners act in accordance with the principles of fair competition and respect the applicable competition laws.

Adherence to these principles is of the utmost importance to Plaza, and it is expected that all suppliers and business partners will respect and implement these principles in their dealings with Plaza. Violations may result in a review of the business relationship.

Code of Conduct

All areas and business premises of PLAZA Hotelgroup GmbH and its employees are responsible for complying with these standards. All suppliers and business partners are also responsible for compliance along their own supply chain. Any violation of the obligations set out in the Code of Conduct will be considered a material breach of contract.


Plaza expects all partners to cooperate in verifying compliance with these principles and relies on constructive cooperation to ensure ethical behavior, human rights, labor standards and environmental protection along the entire supply chain.


Plaza reserves the right to verify compliance with the requirements of this Code of Conduct after reasonable notice. In doing so, Plaza also expects all its suppliers and other business partners to encourage their own suppliers to comply with the ethical standards, human rights, occupational health and safety and environmental standards underlying these guidelines in the context of fulfilling their contractual obligations.

We understand that acting with integrity means not only doing the right thing when no one is watching, but also pointing out irregularities.

Please report compliance violations through the designated channels. Your anonymity will always be protected. This open communication helps us to promote a corporate culture of integrity and to ensure that we always act in accordance with our ethical principles.
